Fabrizio Tamburini, Ph.D, Born in Venice 10 September 1963.
Scientist in residence at ZKM (Zentrum Für Kunst und Medientechnologie), Karlsruhe, Germany and University consortium MSC Baden-Württemberg, Stuttgart.
Collaborating also with IAES (International Academy of Environmental Sciences) Venice as member of the scientific Committee.
Main working area: Electromagnetic vorticity and photon Orbital Angular Momentum (OAM) applied to telecommunications and astrophysics.
Other working fields: Astrophysics, General Relativity, Quantum physics and Quantum Communication.
Main results: First experimental generation of radio vortices and their applications to telecommunications, electromagnetic vorticity from the lensing of rotating black holes, OAM superresolution and coronagraphy. Three artistic installations – science and art – “Beyond Einstein’s Dream – riding the photon” in the worldwide Art exhibition GLOBALE at ZKM in Karlsruhe, Germany.
More than a hundred of international scientific and artistic contributions including one book several book chapters with patents in radio communications and environmental sciences.
Hundreds of interviews in international scientific and non-scientific magazines, newspapers, TV and Radio for science and also for art. Awarded of four international prices.
Teaching and co-supervision of more than 20 Licentiate degrees. Active participation in 14 funding grants since 2002. He was member of the Galileo Scientific Committee Meetings for the European Space Agency. He is currently collaborating as member with the Center of Complex Light in NY, USA.
